Bonamour was inspired by a rare and endangered species of tree that only grows in a small area covering around 3,000 miles2 in the southwestern part of Morocco – The Argan Tree (Argania Spinosa).
The tree belongs to the oldest tree species of the world (Sapotaceae) – its age is 80 million years (when the dinosaurs still roamed the earth!). Each tree lives to 150–200 years.
This miracle tree is able to resist extreme droughts and extremely high temperatures > 120°F by drying out and remaining in a state of dormancy for several years. When the humidity level rises, it suddenly comes back to life.
We were intrigued about how a tree could live so long and could survive for years – even after drying out.
We discovered that it was the stem cells of this tree species that held the secret and through a specialized process we were able to extract these stem cells – using only a tiny amount of this rare plant. When applied to skin we found that these plant stem cells penetrated via hair follicles following the pathway to reach the dermal papilla – where the dermal stem cell pool is localized.
The benefits of having stem cell extracts from this miracle tree are:
- Dermal rejuvenation of the skin
- Vitalizes dermal stem cells, which are responsible for collagen and elastin production
- Accelerates skin’s natural repair process
- Combats chronological aging
- Fights wrinkles and loss of firmness
Argania Spinosa Cell Extract is used in both the Anti Aging Eye Cream, as well as, the Cellular Renewal Cream. It is not used in the Cleanser because the Cleanser is designed to be washed away.

Bonamour represents a complete system of care for the skin. Our products have been created with an unwavering commitment to finding the most powerful classical ingredients, to compliment the Argania Spinosa Cell Extract – which is used in both the Anti Aging Eye Cream, as well as, the Cellular Renewal Cream.
It is not used in the Cleanser because the Cleanser is designed to be washed away. The Bonamour skincare system targets and rejuvenates the dermal layer of the skin. It vitalizes dermal stem cells, which are responsible for collagen and elastin production. The Stem Cell Extract from the Argan tree also accelerates skin’s natural repair process, combats chronological aging and fights wrinkles and loss of firmness.
